VICKERS VALIANT

The most conservative of the three British V-bombers, the
Vickers Valiant first flew in 1951 and was the first V-bomber
to enter service in 1955. Switching from its original high
-altitude role to low-level penetration caused fatigue of the
wing structure which resulted in their early retirement in
1965.
