UNMANNED AIRCRAFT
(UAV)
Flight Manual for
 the Pioneer RQ-2 UAV

The image in the film "Terminator 2" of robotic air vehicles flying
overhead unleashing ray weapons is not that far from reality.
UAV's have found increasing uses in hostile environments and
armed versions fire missiles. Directed energy weapons are not
that far off.

There are a number of UAV systems currently deployed but we
only have one available at present.

The Pioneer RQ-2 UAV system first deployed as a land-based
system in 1986, then was developed for shipboard operations.
Powered by a 26hp two-stroke engine and with a maximum
weight of 416 lbs, the aircraft is used for reconnaissance, target
acquisition, surveillance and battle damage assessment.

This CD contains the flight manual for the RQ-2A.
