SIAI Marchetti began work on a basic jet trainer in 1976
hoping to sell the aircraft to air forces who already
operated the company's SF260 piston engined trainer.
The prototype first flew in 1981 but has only found a
few customers, with about 60 having been built. The
type was a losing contender in the US JPATS program
won by the T-6.
The program was bought by Aermacchi in 1997 who
have updated the type, renamed it M-311 and teamed
it with their advanced M-346 trainer.
This CD contains two
flight manuals for the SIAI S211
and two factory brochures. The CD has been scanned from
the original flight manuals and retains any colour pages.
