P-43 - Developed from the earlier Seversky P-35, 272 examples
of three variants of the improved more powerful P-43 were
developed and produced between 1940 and 1942.P-47 - Probably the most famous aircraft ever produced by the
Republic Aviation Corporation the P-47 was a continuation of
the family started by the P-35 and continued with the P-43.
First flown in 1941 the P-47 was a large aircraft by the
standards of the day and the equally large number of over
15,000 was eventually produced. The P-47 was one of the few
WW2 piston-engined fighters to remain in service after WW2,
and was only phased out of Air National Guard service in 1954.This CD contains the flight manual for the P-43 and three
flight manuals for the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. The CD
has been scanned from the original flight manuals and retains
any colour pages.
