The Airspeed AS.6 Envoy was a British light, twin-engined
transport aircraft designed and built by Airspeed Ltd. at
Portsmouth. It was a twin engined development of an
earlier aircraft, the courier, the first British aircraft to go
into production with a retractable undercarriage.
60 were built, a number of which served with various air
arms. The RAF ordered 136 modified examples for crew
training, which went into service as the Oxford.
Eventually over 8,700 Oxfords were built by several
manufacturers and the aircraft served in many roles.
The CD includes flight manuals for the Airspeed Envoy, plus
the RCAF and RAF flight manuals for the Oxford and the RAF
Maintenance Manual for the Oxford. The flight manuals have
been scanned from the original flight manuals and retain any
colour pages.
