Designed to meet a 1960's US Marines requirement for a
light armed reconnaissance aircraft (LARA) the OV-10 was
one of two designs selected for a fly-off competition.
First flown in 1964 the OV-10 subsequently won the fly-off
against the competing Convair Charger aircraft and was
placed in production.
114 were built for the US Marines and 157 were built for
the USAF, both sharing the OV-10A designation. Other
variants also served with other foreign air arms including
Venezuela, Thailand and Germany.
This CD contains two flight manuals, one for an early
flight test example, and one for the US Marines version of
the OV-10.
This CD contains:1. US Navy Preliminary NATOPS Flight Manual for the YOV-10A,
NAVAIR 01-60GCA-1 dated 1-2-67, approx 150 pages. (This
manuals covers flight test variants using two different engines,
the Garret YT-76 (used for production aircraft) and the P&WC
YT-74.)
2. US Navy (Marines) NATOPS Flight Manual for the OV-10A,
NAVAIR 01-60GCB-1 dated 1-4-76, approx 323 pages.
