HANDLEY-PAGE
HALIFAX
![]()
The Handley Page Halifax was a four-engined heavy
bomber from WW2 designed to the same specfication
as the Avro Lancaster .
It first flew in September 1939 with the 6,178th and last
being delivered in April 1945. A number of aircraft were
converted to a civil configuration as the Halton, but
these were largely unsuccessful and withdrawn from
service by 1952.This comparative lack of post-war service meant that no
complete example of the aircraft has servived. The CD includes the flight manuals (titled Pilot's Notes)
for most variants of the Handley Page Halifax, plus two
maintenance manuals. The CD has been scanned from
the original flight manuals and retains any colour pages.
