FIAT G46 & G59

The Fiat G.46 first flew in 1947 and 150 examples were
produced in both single and twin-seat configuration for
use as a basic trainer with the Italian Air Force. As was
the custom, when declared surplus from air force
service many examples were passed onto Italian Aero
Clubs.

The G.59 advanced trainer was derived from the WW2
G.55 single seat fighter by installing the RR Merlin
engine. Single and twin seat versions were produced
and a total of 175 were manufactured.
