ETENDARD
![]()
The Dassault-Breguet Etendard was a carrier-borne naval
strike fighter. It was initially developed as the Etendard IV
which first flew in 1956 and entered service in 1961. 90
examples of two variants, the IVM and IVP, served with the
Aeronavale until 1991.
An improved and modernised version, the Super Etendard
first flew in 1977, and was the first French combat aircraft
to have a modern integrated weapons and navigation
system.
71 examples were delivered to the Aeronavale. 14 examples
also served with the Argentine Navy and gained notoriety
during the Falklands war with success against shipping
using the Exocet missile.
This CD contains the flight manuals for all three versions
of the Etendard and Super Etendard in Aeronavale service .
The CD has been scanned from the original flight manuals
and retains any colour pages.
