DOUGLAS DC-7
![]()
The DC-7 was prompted by an American Airlines requirement
for a competitor to the Lockheed Super Constellation. Essentially
a stretched DC-6 but using the Wright Turbo-compound engines
used in the Constellation, the DC-7 first flew in 1953. 338 examples
of three main versions were manufactured. This CD set contains flight manuals for the Douglas DC-7C (the
final DC-7 version designed for the non-stop North Atlantic route,
with a slightly lengthened fuselage, increased span wing and more
powerful engines.)
The CD has been scanned from the original flight manuals and
retains any colour pages.
