COMMANDO
![]()
First flown as the CW-20 airliner in 1940 the type was ordered into
volume production by the USAAF as the C-46. The C-46 was the
largest and heaviest twin-engined aircraft to serve with the USAAF
during WW2. Considerably larger than the more well-known C-47,
the empty weight of the C-46 was more than the fully-loaded weight
of the C-47. A total of 3,180 examples were manufactured during
WW2 and they continued to serve with the USAF until the late 1960's.This CD contains the flight manuals for the Curtiss C-46. The CD
has been scanned from the original flight manuals and retains any
