The Blackburn Buccaneer
was designed to a Royal Navy specification for
a two-seat
carrier-based low level tactical strike aircraft, and incorporated
advanced design
features such as area ruling, boundary layer blowing of
the flaps and
tailplane, rotary bombdoor, etc.
The S Mk.2 variant introduced
more powerful engines, and an export
version of
this variant was supplied to the South African Air Force as the
S Mk 50.

pilot's flight manuals for the Blackburn Buccaneer
low- level naval strike fighter. The CD has been scanned from
the original

version powered by the Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engine.
AP 4744B-PN, dated Dec 65, approx 340 pages.
4. Manufacturers
Aircrew Notes for the Buccaneer S.50, a version of the
S.2, 13 examples of which were supplied to the South African Air Force.
