CONVAIR B-36
PEACEMAKER
![]()
The Convair B-36 was the largest and most complex piston-
engined bomber produced for the USAF but was rapidly
overtaken by more advanced jet powered aircraft. Designed
during WW2 and first flown in 1946, it entered operational
service in 1949, and was a film star in "Strategic Air
Command" with James Stewart. However it was rapidly
overtaken by developments in jet powered aircraft, and
even though the last example was manufactured in 1954,
they were retired from service 5 years later in 1959.This CD contains the USAF pilot flight manual for two models
of the B-36. The CD has been scanned from the original flight
manual and retains any colour pages.
