CESSNA A-37
DRAGONFLY
![]()
First flown as the YAT-37D in 1962 to evaluate the T-37 trainer in
the Counter-insurgency (COIN) role, serious development of the
aircraft did not start until the escalation of the war in Vietnam in
the mid 60's.
Initially 39 examples of the T-37B were taken straight from the
production line and converted as A-37A's with more powerful
engines, wingtip fuel tanks and underwing hardpoints, deliveries
beginning in 1967.
Cessna then developed a purpose built COIN derivative of the
T-37B with a strengthened airframe, increased internal fuel
capacity and in-flight refuelling capability, and more powerful
engines again. 577 of this version, the A-37B, were built and they
later served with the Air National Guard and several foreign air
arms.
This CD contains the flight manuals for the two versions of the
Cessna A-37. The CD has been scanned from the original manuals
