DOUGLAS A3D
SKYWARRIOR

Flight Manual for the Douglas A-3 Skywarrior

The A3D was designed as a nuclear strategic bomber
for the US Navy and entered service in the mid 1950's.
For a long time it was the heaviest aircraft to operate
from an aircraft carrier, and when it was finally retired
in 1991 it was one of the longest serving carrier based
aircraft.

When the aircraft relinquished the strategic nuclear role
initially in favour of the A-5 Vigilant and later to the air
force, it found other roles including reconnaissance,
electronic warfare and aerial refuelling tanker.

A significantly re-designed variant was operated by the
USAF as the B-66 Destroyer .

The CD includes flight manuals covering both main
versions of the Douglas A3D Skywarrior.  The CD has
been scanned from the original manuals and retains
any colour pages.
