DOUGLAS A-26 INVADER
![]()
The Douglas A-26 was initially developed by Douglas in three variants, an
attack bomber with a bomb-aimers position in the nose, a heavily armed
night fighter, and an attack bomber. After initial testing the attack bomber
was ordered in production and entered service as the A-26B in 1944. A
version with a bomb-aimers position entered service as the A-26C in 1945.In 1948, when the Martin B-26 was no longer in service, all remaining variants
were re-designated as B-26's. It retained this designation throughout the 50's
and early 60's. In 1963 a new variant was developed as the B-26K by On Mark
Engineering for interdiction duties in Vietnam with extra power and heavy
armament. In 1969 the designation of this variant was changed from B-26K
back to A-26A.This CD contains the flight manuals for the Douglas A-26 Invader. The CD has
