DOUGLAS A-20 HAVOC
![]()
The Douglas A-20 first flew in January 1939 as a response to
a USAAF specification for an attack aircraft, but did not attract
USAAF interest. The French however had followed the flight
trials and ordered a significant number.
When France was overrun remaining French aircraft were
taken over by the RAF who used the aircraft in the bombing
role as the Boston and in the intruder role as the Havoc.
Improvements made to the aircraft overcame the original
USAAF indifference and orders were made for aircraft for
both the high and low altitude roles. Over 7,400 were
eventually built. This CD contains the USAAF and RAF Flight Manuals for the
Douglas A-20 Havoc. The CD has been scanned from the
original manuals and retains any colour pages.
