VARIANTS
The Boeing 707 first
flew as the Boeing model 367-80 in July 1954.
The USAF ordered the aircraft into production as the KC-135 aerial
refuelling aircraft. Boeing developed a slightly
larger version of the
aircraft as the Boeing 707 airliner which first entered
service in 1958.
A large number of variants
of both basic models have been used in
US and foreign military service, and many have been re-engined
with
more modern turbofan engines such as the CFM56.

present, both being military variants.
CD No 1 - BOEING KC-135
This is the KC-135 as
used by the USAF in the early twentieth
century, in two basic versions, one with the low-bypass ratio
TF33 turbofan engines, and the other using the military version
of the CFM56 turbofan. Both types feature modernised cockpits.
